He is a columnist for The New York Times Magazine and a “Freelance Ethicist” who questions personal decision making with humor.

He answers ethical questions from listeners on the National Public Radio show 'All Things Considered'. He has been also a columnist for Slate, where he became famous in “News Quiz”, a satiric reader participation feature. He is author of The Good, the Bad & the Difference: How to Tell Right from Wrong in Everyday Situations and Diary of a Flying Man, a compilation of stories and humor pieces. He has written for some of the most successful prime time shows, which have won him four Emmys.
